Deciphering words with the letter D

Here we provide some examples of various styles of the letter D.  There are two main styles, one had a sort of hook at the bottom of the stem, the other has a loop, and they vary greatly in size.  There is also variation in the size and style of the loop at the top of the stem.

 Here are some words beginning with the capital letter D

Daniel		Davies
Dock		Drapers

Here are some more in the second style:

Daug (Daughter)		Dell
Domestic		Dorset

Now for some examples of lower case letter d's.  The stem of the lower case letter d can vary from being a clearly defined loop to just a vertical line to being split so that the lower loop of the letter is separated from the stem.  The lower loop of the letter can also vary from being fully closed to more like a u shape.
