Here we provide some examples of various styles of the capital letter M.
There are many different ways of writing the capital letter M. They range from a lower initial stroke which contains a loop, to an upper initial stroke which contains a loop, to a long or medium curved initial stroke without a loop to a straight initial stroke without a loop.

The other elements of the capital letter M can also vary from definite upper loops to points and then morphing into the more curvy style, which can also have loops in their lower parts.

Now for some examples of lower case letter m's.
There is less variation between the different styles in the lower case letter m. The basic shape is the same for all of them.
The differences occur in the initial stroke. There is the curved initial stroke, the initial stroke that ends in a point, and there is the style that doesn't have an initial stroke.
The initial stroke in this last style is actually the first vertical stroke of the letter.
